This is a great time capsule film of a sprint race at Road America in 1958. It’s not often we get to see period cars in action during the golden age of sports car racing. This film features Porsche Spiders, Alfas, Lotus 11’s and many specials including some nice in-car footage from a Porsche during practice and the race. Sit back and enjoy these “Garagistas” in action.

How incredibly cool — I think the Porsche is a little tail-happy though!
A fine presentation, especially the early in car footage. However, it should be pointed out that this was the 1959 June Sprints, not 1958. Plus, a little footage from Sept. 1959, also sneaks in.
