Lotus means many different things to many different people. For some, it’s all about Colin Chapman or the golden years with Clark and Hill. For others it’s Kimi Raikkonen in the latest Lotus Formula One car.  Regardless of your interpretation of the marque, Lotus has you covered when it comes to the latest in branded fashion and accessories.  From their 4800 square foot, Regent Street flagship store in the heart of London’s Piccadilly Circus,Lotus proudly displays their collection appropriately named Lotus Originals.Lotus Originals at London’s Piccadilly Circus

But this story is not entirely about the clothing line although it’s very impressive.  This story is also about the actual store and the attention to detail found within the walls. Once you enter the store you find yourself below one of the latest Lotus Formula One cars.Lotus Formula One Car – Flying high.

The car is artfully suspended through the middle of a larger than life Lotus logo.  When was the last time you had the chance to view a current Formula One car….from the bottom?Lotus Originals Regent Street London

Everywhere you look there is reference to Lotus.  Even rugs feature a Lotus logo theme. One detail the quickly captured my attention was the collection of photographs displayed throughout the store. Lotus rug

You could spend hours just looking through the history of Lotus as told in images.  There are also many interesting items tucked away in numerous alcoves and nooks that give you the feeling you are on a treasure hunt and the only person around to know about these newfound prizes.Lotus history displayed in images

The clothing and accessories collection is also extraordinary.  The lineup includes several themes, Heritage, Originals, Performance and Lotus F1 with each category featuring a range of items within the category. With products and merchandise priced at the higher end, especially for those of us in the USA considering the exchange rate, the quality of the merchandise impressive and is of the highest quality and should not be compared to inexpensive logoed T shirts found elsewhere.  The selection of materials used in the group is definitely of the best quality. As throughout the Regent Street store, the attention to detail is also found in the clothing with detailed stitching and Lotus branded tags cleverly placed for recognition.Lotus Originals
